A Step Above Memories is more than a business. It's part of a family tradition.
The Huntes are an entrepreneurial family, with nearly every member building or operating a business of their own.
For more than 25 years, Alastair Hunte has worked as a professional graphic designer, helping businesses, organizations, and entrepreneurs bring their ideas to life through creative design and visual storytelling.
When Alastair began his career, photo restoration was a very different process. Long before modern AI tools and automated software, repairing damaged photographs required patience, creativity, and detailed Photoshop work.
Over the years, he developed his own restoration techniques and workflows, working with modeling agencies, professional photographers, photo labs, and photo restoration companies.
Outside of client projects, Alastair often restored damaged, faded, or aging photos for family and friends, helping them reconnect with meaningful moments from the past.
Today, his son Aleck is carrying that passion forward through A Step Above Memories, combining modern technology with the same attention to detail, quality, and personal care.
